Calgary International Pre-School’s (CIPS) curriculum is a unique combination of the Canadian “Alberta Early Childhood” curriculum and various eco-friendly curriculums referred to as the Green Start curriculum. Our Green Start curriculum has been specially developed and designed to reflect our commitment to the environment and delivering quality educational experiences and teaching to our young leaners. The Green Start curriculum is enhanced and endorsed by the founder, who holds a PhD in Environmental Science and supplements the curriculum with extensive knowledge and experience in this field.
CIPS’s Green Start curriculum reflects our commitment to the environment via our daily activities and discussions with our preschoolers and teachers. Every aspect of the child’s experience at CIPS, from classrooms to circle time and play, reflects a learn through play approach. We ensure children are exposed to all learning and developmental areas in a holistic way, from Early Literacy and Early Numeracy to Creative Expression, STEM and most importantly Physical Skills. The curriculum incorporates fun science projects that are related to environmental issues, in addition children will learn the importance of preserving our natural resources, protecting the world around us, and helping our community. Every child will be equipped to make a difference in the world after gaining knowledge in energy efficiency, recycling, gardening and composting, sustainable materials, transportation, and indoor air quality matter.
